ALA is my first con of the year 2023 and it is also my first time tabling at this venue. I was anxious about it because the table fee is so far the highest among all the cons I've entered. It is good to know that my fashion drawings finally start to build audients, and my wool felting craft attracted many attentions too! Once again, I feel loved and encouraged by everyone who stopped by to say hi; grateful that many people trusted me enough to commission me on various characters and animals! I know I have a long way to go before mastering watercolor but their action and kind words brighten the forever journey.
I saw familiar faces and make new friends at ALA. I finally got to be friends with (and say hi) to a great pencil/pen artist Lenny @lenzations. My neighbor was a sneaker artist @sluug (Tanner) who not only hand paints the coolest shoes but sells great quality embroidery hoodies, and he has great taste for songs (great song list (๑✪ᆺ✪๑). Apparel creator/artist @bandagebrigade Julie and Mathew greets us in the morning and kindly shared their homemade cookies; @Colorful Sheep shared their business experience and knowledge with me. All these encounters were so precious that I want to make sure I noted them down. ❤️

My next show will be Ani-Me Con in Fresno, CA on March 18-19, and I don't have more shows after that. I signed up for Salt Lake City Comic Con (September) and Fan Expo Dallas (June), and am waiting to see if I got in. If I do, I will announce it happily. ♡´・ᴗ・`♡
I'm also drafting the take-home commission guideline and will post it soon as it's completed...
Here are some photos Shogna took at the convention that I thought is cool!
