Ani-Me Con 2023

Updated: Mar 19

Ani-Me 2023 brought back a lot of great memories for me this time. My first time tabling here was back in 2018, and I had a wonderful time, as well as a very good Vietnamese fresh roll (yummy!). I signed up for 2019, but it was the year we decided to move to Seattle for a new job, so I cancelled the chance.

Last time, I drove from San Francisco, and this time we started from L.A. There was a flood in the middle of 99, and the traffic was backed up for 2 hours. However, with the company of cows around, the wait was not so boring. 😌

I think Ani-Me Con is a great weekend show for local families to visit, especially when it's raining and they have nowhere else to go. The foot traffic was stable, and customers were all friendly and fun to chat with. The commissions that I was given had kept me very busy for the weekend~~ 💕

Here are the commissions I did and a great appreciation to everyone who commissioned me to work on their favorite characters!

Thank you so much! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

I think my commission work has improved! LOL

Furthermore, I want to thank everyone who supported my artwork by purchasing my original artworks and buying the inventory I have. And here are the original paintings that were sold at this show.

There was a customer who bought my prints before and saw me this time. She said my table had changed a lot. I am very happy to hear that! 🥰 I am aiming for an unique style.

This change has won me an opportunity to be interviewed by a local Youtuber called Cinema Circus. The host Doug and the camera man Ed were both very welcoming to me that I think I was way too relaxed, and I forgot I will be on their YouTube channel when they are done editing... (′ꈍᴗꈍ‵)

It is my plan to come back next year, if I don't move to another state or something. Hopefully, I can come back with a new table setup. (๑✪ᆺ✪๑)

Added more photos from the weekend

We thought this cosplayer looked great!

A new friend asked to watch me paint with watercolors, so I invited her to sit next to me. We chatted a lot and I think we became friends? LOL

There was a garden cat that lives at the Airbnb we stayed at. We liked its expression.

The sky looked pretty on our way back.

Fuel price here were insanely high!
