5/11/2023--
I finally finished this painting, done with proofreading, layouting in PS, and sent the files out to print today. 🥰
I feel like I can now take a short break, borrow some books from the library, and start looking for ideas for the next zine.

After much consideration, I decided to redraw it. Just the drafting and line work took another week, which was unexpected. It's not surprising that the date to send it out for zine print has been postponed again. 🤣

I am working on the last painting for my aquarium zine, which will be a double-page spread. The text part is already finished, and I've asked a friend to assist me with proofreading. Originally, I had hoped to update the finished piece along with the rest of my progress this week, but the painting isn't progressing as smoothly as I had hoped... ☹️
(First Version)
The final page is very important to me because it wraps up the fun I've had on this topic over the past few months. I've finished the first layer of coloring, but as I continue to draw, I'm becoming more and more unsure: is this picture out of focus? It's already been four days since I started, and I'm a little worried that I won't be able to finish it on schedule (it's actually behind already 😆). I went back to my original draft and compared my initial ideas and thoughts. I looked for ways to fix it instead of starting over. However, the current image still does not answer the questions I asked, and I do not want to have any regrets or disappointments (although small flaws are okay XDD), so I have decided to start over and redraw it! 😅
Over the next few days, I will continue to work on the painting in a SNS-free zone, with the hope of sharing the finished art next week.
Also, since I have expressed my ideas through drawing, my friends now understand why I prefer to dine in rather than taking food to go when we eat out. They also understand why I always bring my own food container and utensils. Their understanding really makes me happy. 🥰
