Furry Friends from the Shelters (9/2 updated)

The shelter pages I follow keep sharing about a serious issue they’re facing: overcapacity. To help, many are waiving adoption fees to encourage pet lovers to adopt. Sadly, I’m not in a position to adopt right now, but I still want to support in my own way. That’s why I decided to paint (or craft) these furry friends and donate 50% of the proceeds to the shelter they came from.

This idea was first introduced at KuroNeko Con 2024, and I was so grateful that it received support immediately. I sold one painting for $40, with $20 going to the shelter. I know $20 isn’t much, but I’m happy to contribute in any way I can. I still love this idea and plan to continue doing it. ❤️

Currently, my partner’s company offers a 100% match on donations, which helps amplify the impact. I feel this creates a win-win for everyone involved, benefiting both the shelters and the animals in need.
