A rough coloring on iPad
I don't know if this will be a constant pattern after each convention or what. I got sick again after the AX Chibi. I was in bed most of the time for the past week.
Years ago, when I doodled this rough sketch, I thought I might be able to extend it to a short story. And then it was archived in the folder. I found this sketch again when I'm cleaning my folder and thought that now is the best time to do so.
Sketch before 2019
I like to read love stories, so I want to challenge myself to draw one. So I spent all last week writing and rewriting the story in my bed, and finally came up with the plot that I would like to stick with it. It will be a story of a gentleman's acquaintance with a Goddess in a forgotten forest.
These are the character design when I work alone with the story. I was having a hard time deciding the character's mood. Thus my friend suggested and encouraged me to draw them out too. The Goddess is the one that I spend the most time on because she is a "Goddess." Thank god I finally come up with the design I like. 😊
I don't draw men often so I am referencing Korean stars I like.
During the progress of making the stories and the characters, I kept telling myself to keep the story simple and don't be over-ambitious. I need to make sure the purpose of the story is clear, and that somehow it is not a love story anymore. 😆 My next step is to design each frame on pages. There are many fields that I have not really studied closely before so the to-study(drawing)-list extended.
