(original watercolor painting- sold)
I spend several days recovering strength after the show. I did a quick covid self-test at home this morning to see if it gets me but the result is negative. ✌️
I've been wanting to improve my watercolor to a style I really like. Here are some examples of the artists I admire: Iruta, Nuno da Costa, Novah, and Alina Grinpauka… I guess I'll share four artists at a time? there are too many artists I love. 😆
A simple conclusion or current goal is that I want to make sure each stroke is just right. I thought drawing feathers would be a great start but it didn't go well. So I would say it is a warm-up. 🤪 I went back and forth to study the artists' artworks and my paintings.
I tried it again. This time, I used what I have in the kitchen: persimmon.
... And I got tired. 🤣
I paused and took a break; checked out some Korean drama to relax, but I couldn't concentrate because I was still thinking about the practice.

This watercolor paper gave me no chance to wash out or undo it, and the water dried out very fast. The painting turned out okay to be shared here I think. But the other practice paintings did not turn out so well.
I'm going to quote that Rome did not build in a day so I decided to call it a day. 😛
Ending today with a quick painting of Kimberly from Street Fighter. I believe she is a new character and will be presented in SF 6.
