Watercolor on Bristol paper
I am working on the next zine now hoping I can have it done and printed before Ani-me Con in March. I want to use traditional media this time. Since there are 2 Bristol paper pads sitting in the corner, I thought I could test how well it goes with watercolor. The result is, Bristol paper is suitable for ink/color pencils/markers, but I am not so sure about watercolor.
After giving it a try, I'd say it takes a longer time for the watercolor to dry and that is tricky if I am to wash, dip, or blend colors. It works okay with small objects such as tangerines (these tangerines were sweet and juicy!). If I were to work with a larger area such as painting the background, I would not recommend it.
